WHAT WE TREAT

At Cinnamon Healthcare, we provide high-quality, accessible, and patient-centred medical services. Take a closer look at what we treat.

I have an Urgent Medical Concern

We are sorry if you or your loved one is feeling poorly. We understand the challenges of seeking help when you are acutely unwell. These may include symptoms of pain, fever, vomiting, headache, coughing or feeling lethargic. We also understand the concern when children are unwell – our team has lots of experience managing children with common childhood illnesses (such as fever, rashes, respiratory infections, constipation, cows milk protein intolerance). For our earliest availability, contact our reception team.

Women's Health

We offer a range of services tailored to women’s health needs.  These include fertility and pre-pregnancy care, contraception, hormone replacement treatment (HRT) for symptoms of the menopause and managing menstrual disorders. We provide general medical services to women during pregnancy and in the postpartum period.

Men's Health

Our men’s health services focus on preventative care, early detection of disease and treatment of conditions that commonly affect men. These include prostate screenings, urinary problems (poor flow, excessive urination at night, leakage of urine) erectile dysfunction, cardiovascular health, and lifestyle advice.

Child and Adolescent Health

The health and wellbeing of your children is our priority. We provide general medical care to babies, children and adolescents. With our friendly and warm approach, we see children with a range of physical and mental health concerns. We prioritise urgent appointments and home visits for common childhood illnesses and can provide a prescription if medically indicated.

Mental Health Support

Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being. Our GPs are trained to recognize and manage common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress. We can offer support, referral for counselling or specialist input if required. If appropriate, then we can prescribe medication for your mental health.

Traditional Family GP Care

Although patients often seek our advice during times of ill-health, we also oversee patients with long-term conditions including heart disease, asthma, hypertension (raised blood pressure), diabetes and obesity. Where clinically appropriate we issue medication (including injectables) to help with weight loss whilst providing you with ongoing medical care and support. We provide regular follow ups, blood tests and medication reviews. We believe in developing a lasting doctor-patient relationship, continuity of care and looking after you and your family.

Telehealth Services

For your convenience, we offer telehealth consultations, allowing you to access medical advice and care from the comfort of your home. This service is ideal for follow-up appointments, minor ailments, and situations in which direct clinical examination is not required. Often patients are seeking reassurance or perhaps a second opinion, from a suitably trained professional.  With the use of video technology, limited clinical examinations can be performed remotely.

At Cinnamon Healthcare, we are committed to delivering exceptional medical care that prioritises your health and wellbeing. Our dedicated team is here to support you with professional, compassionate, and individualised healthcare services. Your health is our priority, and we are here to partner with you on your journey to wellness.

Administrative Services and Specialist Referrals

At Cinnamon Healthcare we understand that at times patients require medical administrative services on an urgent basis. This could include completion of FIT (sick) notes (we issue a maximum of 14 days), insurance documents or “Fit to Fly” letters. We also offer repeat prescriptions subject to evidence-based monitoring requirements (such as blood tests and medication review consultations). Please contact our reception team to discuss your administrative needs further.

Should you require specialist care, Cinnamon Healthcare has a network of trusted specialists we can refer you to. We coordinate your care to ensure a seamless transition and continuous support throughout your healthcare journey.

FAq'S

Below are some commonly asked questions regarding our services. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please contact us.

What is a private GP?

Most patients who are entitled to NHS care, are registered with a local GP. For one reason or another, you may be unable to see or speak to your own GP or you may be unhappy with specialist care you have already had and wish to consult elsewhere. You do not need to have private medical insurance to see a Cinnamon Healthcare GP as patients pay for whichever service they need. There are no hidden registration or signing up fees.

We ask that all patients complete a medical history form prior to their appointment. This is important as our clinical team do not have access to your NHS medical records – so we rely on you for information about your medical history, allergies etc. We reserve the right to contact your NHS GP if there are safeguarding concerns but will always aim to do so with your consent.

Absolutely you can! We encourage our patients to keep their registration with their NHS GP – our services aim to complement and not replace them. With your consent, we will send your GP a summary of your consultation with us so that your NHS patient records can be updated accordingly.

If you and your GP agreed a follow up appointment, then our reception team will be in touch with you to arrange a convenient date. This may be a remote or home visit consultation based on your preference. If you would like to speak to your GP about a previously discussed or new issue, then do contact the reception team.

At present you are unable to use a private medical insurance policy to see a Cinnamon Healthcare GP. Most insurance companies have their own in-house, often remote only, GP service. Our patients self-fund (or pay directly) to access our services. We will continue to explore options of working together with insurance providers in the future.

Remote and home visit consultations can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the appointment time and you will be refunded your fee minus a £10 administration fee. If the remote appointment / home visit is cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment, then Cinnamon Healthcare will be unable to refund the fee. We will endeavour to rearrange the appointment in exceptional circumstances.

Yes! During your consultation your GP may recommend further tests such as blood tests (pathology) or imaging (scans, such as ultrasound, X-rays, CT or MRI scans). It is important to note that the cost of these are NOT included in your consultation fees. The prices are dependent on the specific blood tests that are requested. Please do not hesitate to discuss this with your GP or the reception team.

If you require a scan, we can arrange a referral to your local private hospital that provides the appropriate imaging. Fees for the imaging will be paid directly to the provider and is independent of Cinnamon Healthcare.

We absolutely want to start a subscription service where we can provide our regular patients with ongoing healthcare solutions for their medical needs. Although we don’t have this now, we aim to start this soon – please get in touch with our reception team for further details and so that we can keep you informed of new services by Cinnamon Healthcare.

Once our doctors issue a prescription, we will email it directly to you via a secure link. You can then take this prescription to a local community pharmacy of your choice at your convenience. Please note that the cost of the medication itself is paid directly to the dispensing pharmacy.

Our concierge pharmacy service is designed for your convenience and peace of mind. Once our doctors issue a prescription, we can send it to a trusted pharmacist who will arrange for your medication to be delivered anywhere in the UK within 48 hours. In some cases, depending on your location, we can expedite the delivery to get your medication to you even sooner. If you’re having trouble obtaining your medication, we can assist in coordinating the process to ensure you receive what you need without delay.

*Please note that the cost of the medication itself is paid directly to the dispensing pharmacy*

At Cinnamon Healthcare, we love hearing from our patients! We would love to hear about any positive or other feedback you have. We are sorry if you have felt our service has let you down. As a growing practice, we cannot always get everything right, however we will make every effort to take your feedback and comments on board so that the service can be developed to continually improve in meeting the needs of our patients.
